And just like that… 2023 is coming to a close — A reflection from Angel Patterson

….and so is another monumental chapter in LRP herstory. Who could have imagined all of the things we achieved as a community? I could. I am lucky enough to be in a position where I am continuously reassured by the impact our work is having on Black and gender diverse communities, and inspired by the outpouring of love constantly returned to us. Between our staff and all of our friends, family, and accomplices, right now I am feeling incredibly grateful for what we are building and thankful that so many of you have taken root with us already.

WHAT A WEEK: Our Journey to the 2023 Black Trans Advocacy Conference

Last Monday, LRP's Black Trans leadership returned from the Black Trans Advocacy Conference in Dallas, Texas, and we are more rejuvenated than ever! This annual conference, now in its 10th year, brings together Black Trans leaders from all over the nation who are advocates, activists, lawyers, attorneys, public health educators, youth and elders to share knowledge through workshops, networking, and connection.
